Kelley had a huge personality, was incredibly generous and had a big heart. We have lost an amazingly bright light from our world. So many of you knew her as a friend and teammate. Also, she was a strong leader and advocate for Capital and rowing on the Anacostia with her days on the board and leading numerous other efforts, too many to list her. From my days with Strokes and since with Capital she has been a friend, a fellow club president, and a fierce, fun-loving teammate.
My heart and that of the entire Capital family goes out to each of you today. We are all thinking of Kelley’s family as well. It’s time to pause and reflect on such an amazing person and a life lived so fully and to recall cherished memories of her. Without argument, she will be sorely missed by all.
