I started rowing in the fall of 2021. Since my first day, the program has taught me countless things. I’ve learned what it’s like to be part of a team, to attend and compete in regattas (races), and to create and strengthen bonds. I’ve also found that rowing has helped me become stronger mentally and physically.
Unfortunately, rowing is an expensive sport. Capital Juniors offers rowing to people in the DC area, and we want to make sure that everyone can have the same opportunities. In order for people to make rowing affordable and accessible, you can donate through our Erg-a-thon, which is an event hosted February 11th where we collectively compete in a relay race. Money raised will be going towards uniforms, transportation, and other costs necessary for operation.
By supporting Capital Juniors, you'll ensure more DC-area students can join a team that emphasizes teamwork, personal accomplishments, fitness, and friendship. Any donation, big or small, will go a long way to helping me meet our 2023 fundraising goal. All donations are tax deductible.
